Why BZP

The Power of Connection

Broadway Zoological Park was built on the belief that animals help people connect more deeply to the world around them. That connection can bring calm, curiosity, and understanding in ways words often cannot.

The love for animals often brings out the best in humanity, offering connection, empathy, and a wonder at the natural world. Broadway Zoological Park was built around Brynn’s love for animals, especially giraffes. Giraffes, with their gentle eyes and unhurried movements, seem to embody a calm, accepting presence that resonates with many people, including those with autism. Brynn was diagnosed with autism when she was five years old and has shown an exceptional interest in animals and puzzles, finding a sense of calm in both. Individuals with autism have a unique perspective that allows them to see patterns and details that others might overlook. Activities like puzzles have been particularly engaging for Brynn. Likewise, she developed a connection with animals because they often communicate through nonverbal cues, creating a mutual understanding that transcends language. In a world that sometimes feels chaotic, the love for animals, the joy of puzzles, and the unique perspectives of individuals with autism all reminds us of the beauty in diversity, the importance of patience, and the power of connection.

That sense of connection is at the heart of everything we do.
