Birds of the World Experience
Enter the park’s budgie parakeet aviary, feed a kookaburra, or dance with a parrot! Learn about the birds who call the park home, their status in the wild, and what goes into caring for birds like the cassowary from a keeper’s point of view! Guests will be able to feed budgie parakeets via seed sticks, deliver snacks to kookaburra with feed tongs, and hold ostrich eggs. Parrots, birds of prey, and other large avian species will not have direct contact with participants.
Please note:
- ALL tours and experiences are weather dependent, in the case of inclement weather, staff will contact all scheduled tours to be rescheduled at the earliest convenience of the guest.
- Depending on the time of year, not all species may be available for behind-the-scenes activities. The best time to experience our reptile activities will be from April to September.
- The Budgie parakeet aviary will have direct contact with many avian species.
- Peanuts, and other tree nuts are included in the daily diets of many primate species. If you or your family member is allergic or has a sensitivity to nuts, please take this into consideration when booking.
